Desserts always look adorable when studded with brightly colored sprinkles. Rice Krispie treats, brownies, and cookies all look more festive and upbeat with a bit of added color. So I don't see why we can't add sprinkles to breakfast, lunch, and dinner to sweeten meals and make our lives more colorful! Here are 5 non-dessert foods that are better with sprinkles:

1. Oatmeal

I don't know about you, but when I eat oatmeal, it's already loaded down with brown sugar. A few extra grams of sugar really isn't going to make much of a difference health-wise, so I say load up that oatmeal with some bright star sprinkles.

2. Anything with Peanut Butter

When I was little, my mom used to slather peanut butter on bread or crackers and top it with sprinkles, calling it "Cinderella bread" or "Cinderella crackers." As a picky eater, I was much more likely to eat anything Cinderella had made her namesake. Make your snack a regal one by adding sprinkles!

3. Sweet sauces

For sauces that are already sweet like this mango dipping sauce for coconut shrimp, adding sprinkles doesn't make much of a change in taste. But now these shrimp look like a party on a plate. You're welcome.

4. Baked Potatoes

Maybe you normally top your potato with sour cream and chives or butter and bacon bits. Switch up your routine with sprinkles! The watercolor-like effect where the potato steam melts the sprinkles is just delightful.
