In our first attempt at making donuts in the donut pan I bought on a whim, my boyfriend and I made birthday cake donuts! It wasn't anyone's birthday, but we were throwing around sprinkles and glaze like a party was about to start.
These beauties are baked white-cake sprinkle-studded glaze-covered diabetic attacks waiting to happen. What you see above and below is our best approximation at replicating Sprinkles for Breakfast's Birthday Cake Donuts. We omitted the crumbles, because there seemed to be more than enough sugar everywhere.
Any suggestions for donut recipes I should try?
